About Us

Hearts on Call was created from a desire to advocate for and care for adults in their own home. Our family of owners, creators, administrators, has had loved ones who were either ill, aging or injured and required companion or skilled care. At times, there was no option other than nursing home or hospital for them. We saw a growing need for all loved ones who want to stay at home but cannot fully care for themselves, to have the support of individuals who are gifted and skilled to care for them. We are locally owned and managed with strong relationships in numerous counties in and around the Dayton and Cincinnati areas.

Our Mission

To be fully supportive of those who cannot maintain activities of daily living without assistance, ones who just need a little extra attention and those who need skilled care. To be involved with our client, their family and friends in order to extend the client’s wellness, comfort, peace and joy in all that they do.

Our Approach

In contrast to the “usual” companion and skilled care agency, we take a different view and approach to make certain that your loved one is cared for in a way that leaves you with no guilt or regret. We employ only the people who first have a deep desire to care for others (not just a pay check), secondly, we screen, background check, psychologically test, drug test, personally interview and require a higher level of character than you might expect. We view each potential client as a person with unique and valuable expectations of how they want to be treated. And then we match our caregiver with your loved one in a very suitable process.

Our Caregivers

Our Caregivers are truly Care Givers, good people with big hearts that enjoy the company of those who need care and companionship.

Our caregivers are expected to perform at a higher level of competence than the ordinary caregiver. We train them with a strong foundation of standards so we don’t have to guess what they know or how they respond. We are licensed by Caregiver Quality Assurance whose seal of approval helps families when trying to choose the right home care company to care for their loved ones.

We must train each person to properly, legally and lovingly care for our clients. We must know that each caregiver has good problem solving skills and the ability to learn new skills where needed. We perform criminal background checks, substance abuse tests, elder abuse screenings and driving record screenings.

Regular testing, training and education are ongoing.
